Dead Fader releases his new album, Glass Underworld, later this week through Robot Elephant Records, and ahead of its release we are giving you the first listen of the album in full – you can check it out above.
The album sees Dead Fader, the alter ego of Berlin-based John Cohen since 2007, turning out a collection of explorative cuts rooted in electronic music. It is billed as “a very personal exploration for Cohen,” with themes involving “inquiring emotional states” and the writing process heavily influenced “by falling in love whilst making the album”. On a wider tangent, the film Instellar is namechecked as a specific visual form of influence on the album’s sounds, allowing Cohen to map out tracks as imagined in the context of the film itself. Glass Underworld is out this Friday (October 23) and you can purchase it here.
