Blur Announce New Documentary

Documentary will chart the band's sessions for their first album as a four piece in 16 years which was released earlier this year

Blur have announced New World Towers, a documentary that follows the band’s activity in recent years in the run-up to the release of their album The Magic Whip, released earlier this year. You can check out a trailer above.

The documentary comprises live footage, interviews with the band and more and is set for release in cinemas across the UK on December 2. The film is said to chart “the iconic British band’s sprawling journey over the last few years – from an unexpected break in Hong Kong which sowed the seeds for their first album as a four price in 16 years, to a glorious homecoming show in London and, finally, an emotional reunion with their Hong Kong audience.” It is also said to offer “a raw, candid glimpse into the interior life of the band, with personal documentary footage and band interviews showing just how an opportune recording session unexpectedly gave birth to a new album, while also raising questions about the future of blur.” An international release is expected to follow the documentary’s UK-wide release.
