David Lynch is currently working on a part-memoir, part-biography that will be called Life and Work.
As the Guardian reports, the memoir, written of course by Lynch himself, will cover topics including Lynch’s friendships and decades of work across a number of creative fields. He has enlisted journalist Kristine McKenna to assemble the biography parts of the book. She will pull information from interviews with 90 of the director’s friends, family and collaborators to counteract the “bullshit out there about me, in book and all over the internet,” as Lynch puts it in a statement from Canongate who will publish the book in the UK. “I want to get all the right information in one place, so if someone wants to know something, they can find it here.” The book will be published in 2017 and is not Lynch’s first, with Catching the Big Fish previously released in 2007. Lynch is currently directing a third series of his classic cult series Twin Peaks, which is also due to be finished in 2017.
