Recently on our site, Scott Ian of Anthrax spoke about the <a href="

These games will no doubt spawn an entire generation of metal fans who think that the Western chromatic scale has four notes.
But let’s not forget the importance, in America especially, of Adult Swim’s Ultra-violent cartoon Metalocalypse in popularising metal. The show’s fictional Scandinavian-American metal band Dethklok’s first album Dethalbum entered the Billboard 200 chart at number 21, making it the best selling death-metal album of all time (depending on your definition of death-metal, which Billboard chart you look at and if you count spoof albums).
Metalocalypse follows the exploits of Dethklok, a metal band so successful that they are the worlds 12th largest economy. Their legions of fans execute any and all directives in their lyrics and politicians must stay on their good side.
