Discogs Aims To Catalog Every Release

Online music marketplace aims to create a record of 'every single piece of music ever created in the world'

Discogs is currently on a mission to “catalog every single piece of music ever created in the world” and it needs your help, as reported by The Vinyl Factory.

Using its September Pledge Initiative (SPIN) the online music marketplace hopes that its users can help achieve that goal having already made note of 54,000 new titles. Discogs is hoping to hit a target of 100,000 new listings in one month. Encouraging users to take part, the company has added a contributor leader board to its website and is also highlighting various additions to its extensive library of releases via social media. You can find out more information about the initiative in the video above.
