Caught By The River In London

Caught By The River team to host 'unique afternoon event' at London's Bush Hall in November

After a series of events in North and West Wales as well as East Cornwall and Bristol, the team at Caught By The River are coming to London for an afternoon event at Bush Hall which they are billing as the ‘Caught By The River Social Club’.

It takes place on Sunday, November 15 and will take in activities surrounding music, film, talk and poetry. There will also be a trusty, fully stocked bar on hand as well as a bookshop. Darren Hayman is one of the contributors to the day’s activities. He will present ‘Thankful Villages’, a project which is currently seeing him visit the 54 villages that soldiers returned to alive from World War I. In each village he is making a piece of music and short film, and he will be presenting these on the day. CBTR favourites July Skies will play a rare live set on the month that their much-loved debut album Dreaming Of Spires is being released on vinyl for the first time, more than a decade after its original release. Richard Skelton will be in conversation with Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood. They will discuss Skelton’s new book, Beyond The Fell Wall, which is out in November. There will also be poetry from Faber New Poet Will Burns and Martha Sprackland as well as music from Clay Pipe Music label founder Frances Castle. For more details and to get tickets, head here.

You can also be in with the chance of getting your hands on a pair of tickets by emailing the correct answer to the question below to comps@thequietus.com by midday this Thursday (September 17).
