FKA twigs Hits Back At Private Questions

Musician takes issue with nature of questions about her relationship and private life

In a Sunday Times interview published over the weekend, FKA twigs came in for a particular line of personal questioning that she did not appreciate, prompting her to say “I think this could be my last interview”.

After being asked whether she has watched Twilight, the film series featuring partner Robert Pattinson, twigs simply replies “no”, before growing more blunt after being asked about wedding plans. “Who told you I was getting married?” is the rather fair reply from twigs who goes on to say that she is “not prepared to talk about her private life”. She elaborates that doing interviews “makes me feel nutty”, not surprising when the line of questioning is as tedious as the one she faces here in the face of the myriad of other subjects to be covered with an artist like twigs.

Elsewhere in the interview, she speaks about her experience with tinnitus as well as the online racist abuse she received when her relationship with Pattinson was made public. FKA twigs recently revealed ‘Figure 8’, the second track taken from her forthcoming EP, due out through Young Turks before the end of the year.
