C. Spencer Yeh shares contribution to new soundtrack for Italian horror film tribute which will air as part of this year's East End Film Festival

This year’s East End Film Festival has kicked off as you may have noticed from the recent flurry of news posts around the ten or so days of film-related activity that take place every year across multiple East London venues. One of the most exciting events on the calendar for this year’s festival is a screening of Hélène Cattet and Bruno Forzani’s The Strange Colour Of Your Body’s Tears, a tribute to the revered Italian horror films of the 1970s.

The screening will include a new soundtrack devised by Ben Power, otherwise known as Blanck Mass and one had of Fuck Buttons. Collaborating with a number of artists from across the world, each musician was assigned a scene to work with and given creative freedom to soundtrack that scene as they saw fit, without any knowledge of what others involved in the project were planning. Contributions to the new score come from Roll The Dice, Helm, Moon Gangs, Phil Julian, Konx-Om-Pax and C. Spencer Yeh, plus Blanck Mass himself of course. Above, you can take a listen of C. Spencer Yeh’s contribution to the soundtrack.

The soundtrack will be released by Death Waltz in double vinyl format, while the screening will followed by a DJ set from Ben Power and friends. This specific screening will be held at Shoreditch’s Red Gallery towards the end of the festival’s run on July 10, and tickets are priced at £10. You can find full details for the screening here.
