Nine Inch Nails affiliate Alessandro Cortini has announced details of a forthcoming album for Hospital Productions, set for release next month, and streaming above is the first track to be unveiled from the album, ‘La Sveglia’.
The album, entitled Risvelgio will follow up his 2014 Hospital debut, Sonno. Much like that album, Risvelgio was written and recorded while on tour with Cortini adding a Roland 303 to the 202 and delay setup that formed the hardware for Sonno. “"The 303 can be such a haunting instrument used in a certain way, and I felt it completely fit the mood of the previous work I have done on the 202, especially when given a specific location in space….it’s such a living instrument,” said Cortini. Cortini will present a live interpretation of both albums in a special audiovisual performance at this year’s Berlin Atonal which takes place from August 19-23. You can find more details here. The album is out on July 27.
