LIIMA, a collaboration between members of Danish three-piece Efterklang and Finnish experimental percussionist Tatu Rönkkö, were invited for a residency at Salon IKSV in Istanbul for a few days earlier this January, in which they wrote four new songs. You can listen to an improv-heavy rendition of the new tracks above.
The band will be playing in London on Monday (June 15) at Village Underground with support from John Bence, the electronic contemporary classicist from Bristol. More details and tickets are available here. They will also play Supersonic in Birmingham which takes place this weekend and Bristol’s The Lantern on Sunday (June 14). LIIMA are also currently in the process of writing more material which they will be playing on their forthcoming European tour over the course of this month.
