TONIGHT: Martin Gore Listening Event

Tune in here from 9 pm for a live playback of the Depeche Mode man's upcoming solo album MG and a live chat

The Quietus will tonight be hosting an exclusive online listening event with Martin Gore. The event will begin at 9 pm, when his upcoming solo release MG will be streamed in full ahead of its release on April 27. Gore will also be participating in a live chat, which you can join in with above.

tQ spoke to Gore about the release of the album earlier this year, where he described it as an "electronic purist album", going on to say: "I think there was like four or five tracks that I’d written during the songwriting period for Delta Machine, and we decided not to use them, because we had way too many songs, even the deluxe edition. So I just had them sitting there, and I didn’t want them to go to waste, and I got thinking that maybe it’s not such a bad idea for me to think about a solo instrumental album. The more I thought about that, the more I liked the idea, because it was something new and different, something I’d never done before." Read Ned Raggett’s full conversation with him here, check back here at 9 pm for the stream and watch the video for ‘Europa Hymn’ to whet your appetite below:
