WATCH: Nick Cave Interviewed

Nick Cave met up with tQ editor John Doran on the upper deck of a 747 recently to discuss the singer’s new book, The Sick Bag Song.

The interview, for VICE.com, can be watched in full above and concerns Cave’s first serious foray into poetry, whether he’s actually a vampire or not, his addiction to bibles and what lies behind the Nick Cave mask.

The follow up to The Death Of Bunny Munro is part epic poem, part love letter to his wife, part love letter to the Bad Seeds, part tour diary and part homage to all of his influences and was written on a 22-date tour Bad Seeds tour of America last Summer.

The book – which was written entirely on in flight sick bags, hence the title and is pitched by the singer as being somewhere between The Wasteland and Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas – will be published by Canongate and is only available from TheSickBagSong.com website.
