Yu Miyashita EP Due On Stray Landings

Grind Analysts Fig. 1 out next month on 100-copy run, featuring tracks under his name and as his Yaporigami guise

Stray Landings have recently announced the upcoming release of their debut vinyl, courtesy of Japanese sound designer and +Mus signee Yu Miyashita. The London-based collective/online publication have released several compilations in the past, but this will be their first physical record. Entitled ‘Grind Analysts Fig.1’, the 12" combines Miyashita’s two projects; the A-side tracks occupied by the off-kilter glitch-techno he produces as Yaporigami, and the B-side is reserved for the music he composes under his given name – a jarring mix of ethereal soundscapes and abrasive noise. Alongside the 12", the Stray Landings crew have also put their writing experiences to use, creating a zine to accompany the record. The publication exposes some of the processes the group went through when making the record and also features an interview with Miyashita, and some of the different labels and collectives with which he has worked closely in recent years.

‘Grind Analysts Fig.1’ will be released as part of a limited 100-copy run of 12"s from early April, available digitally shortly after. Take a listen to clips of the tracks above.
