Blur’s Dave Rowntree and Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason along with Billy Bragg have teamed up with the Musician’s Union and the Featured Artists’ Coalition to object to the BNP’s ‘politics and morals’. The reason for this is the discovery that the party was selling a range of folk compilations containing songs by artists who are powerless to prevent their work appearing on the albums. The proceeds will go towards the campaign funds for the upcoming European elections.
A BNP spokesman stated the party had no intention of removing the music from its website and added: ‘They’ve already made their money haven’t they?’
In addition to the various folk compilations, BNP head honcho, Nick Griffin has released an album penned by himself called West Wind, which contains such BNP classics as ‘Colour’ and ‘Nothing Bloody Works’.
