Field Day have just announced that Gaz Coombes will be lining up alongside Ride, Patti Smith, Jane Weaver, Savages and more for the Sunday (June 7) of this year’s festival. He’ll be airing material from his recently-released second solo record, Matador, of which tQ’s Julian Marszalek said: "Warm, empathetic and human throughout, this new guise of maturity is worn with all the comfort and convincing style of your first tailored suit." Take a look at Coombes performing ’20/20′ from the album below.
We’ll have a Baker’s Dozen with Coombes in advance of the festival, which is due to add yet more names next week. As it stands, heading to Victoria Park in London on June 6-7 will be Caribou, FKA twigs, Run The Jewels, Owen Pallett, Todd Terje, Andrew Weatherall back-to-back with Daniel Avery, Elijah & Skilliam and many more. Head over to the festival’s website for the line-up in full and tickets and read our review of both days of last year’s edition here and here.
