WATCH: New Eric Chenaux Video

Folk musician debuts new video combining two tracks from his latest album, out today; Cafe OTO gig in May

Eric Chenaux today releases his new album, Skullsplitter, via Constellation Records and has shared a video combining two of the album’s tracks to coincide with its release. You can watch the Eric Cazdyn-directed video, which takes in both ‘Le Pouget’ and ‘Skullsplitter’, above.

Skullsplitter is Chenaux’s fifth album with Constellation since 2006, though only his second fully solo record, made without guest musicians or collaborators, following on from 2012’s Guitar & Voice. It is also built solely around Chenaux’s voice and guitar. Working on the album, Chenaux and recording engineer Radian Ghazi Moumneh, a longtime collaborator of his, employed physically swinging speakers and "radical gating and panning to tease out further fluctuations in the barometer of the guitar sound". Skullsplitter is out now and Chenaux will play London’s Cafe OTO on May 28, which you can find all the details for here.
