Continuing its commitment to showcasing Liverpool’s music scene, the nominees for the GIT Award 2015 have today been announced ahead of the unveiling of the winner on April 4.

Speaking about his role in putting together the shortlist for this year’s award, judge Rich Walker, general manager at 4AD Records, said: "What a great award to be asked to help judge. Working at 4AD, there’s never a shortage of new music to listen to but I’ve particularly enjoyed discovering what a fertile and supportive scene Liverpool currently has. More cities really should copy the GIT template and do their own award."
This year’s edition marks the fourth consecutive year of the GIT (Getintothis) award which aims to champion "the best of Merseyside music providing a snapshot of the year while recognising significant artist achievement across a range of musical styles" and tQ’s very own John Doran is also among the judges that helped put together the shortlist.
