Stave Announces New EP After the Social

... comes complete with Regis bringing out his remix piledrivers

Fine news greets us from Berlin: Jonathan Krohn, one half of Downwards heavyweights Talker and Chicago experimental ensemble Male, is putting out a new EP under his Stave alias. After The Social follows his debut EP, Trust, and LP, Reform, both from 2013, and will be out on Ascion, D.Carbone and Shapednoise’s Repitch Recordings on February 27.

Alongside three new tracks, ‘Hardened Chord’, ‘Circle Pit’ and ‘Paid Jazz’, which see Krohn pursuing kinetic, distortion-grimed industrial techno bent, there’s a remix of the opener by Downwards head honcho Karl O’Connor, aka Regis, which lends it all of the depth-charge heft you’d expect. We’re told that the tracks will be streaming at some point ahead of the release, but for now listen to Reform below:
