Blackest Ever Black are putting out the third album by New York hardcore outfit Raspberry Bulbs next week. Privacy comes barely a year after their previous full-length on the label, Deformed Worship, and is the product of Marco del Rio’s five-piece tacking their love H. P. Lovecraft and Arthur Machen to their scouring metal-flecked punk. So abrasive is new track, ‘Finger Bones’, which the label have kindly given us for a first spin above, that del Rio’s vocal assault "is he contemporary obsession with ‘connection’, exhibitionism and peer approval" is but a rabid, indiscernible howl in a dingy cavern, but the rage seeps through, buzzsaw guitars condensed with glorious efficiency onto their four-track. Pre-order the record, out on November 17, here, and listen to ‘Light Surrounds Me’ also from the album below.
