WATCH: Casual Sex – A Perfect Storm

First look at the video from band's upcoming AA-side

Following on from last year’s excellent The Bastard Beat EP, Glasgow’s Casual Sex will be putting out a new AA-side single, and they’ve kindly given us a first play of the video for ‘A Perfect Storm’, released with ‘Pissing Neon’ on limited edition 7" and download on October 6 via We Can Still Picnic Records – have a watch above. A further refinement of the material on the EP, ‘A Perfect Storm’s an addictive combination of crisp, mechanistic drums – real and synthetic – and resonating guitar arpeggios, with Sam Smith’s none-more-louche lyrical invocations of changes and ruses laid atop.

Coinciding with the record’s release, the band are playing a run of dates – take a look at those below, head to the band’s site to get hold of the record on release and read our interview with them here.

OCTOBER

Mon 6 – CCA, Glasgow

Tue 7 – Sebright Arms, London

Thu 9 – Hootennany’s, Inverness

Fri 10 – Pleasance Theatre, Edinburgh
