The Quietus are hugely excited to announce our involvement with this year’s Louder Than Words festival. Following up on last year’s inaugural edition, it’s taking place at The Palace Hotel in Manchester from November 14-16 and will see the festival organisers, including John Robb, the music journalist, Louder Than War man and Membranes/Goldblade man, continuing their celebration of writing about music. They promise "in-conversations, panel discussions, workshops, performances, book signings and opportunities for informal chat and engagement with contributors, supporters and attendees alike."
The list of people appearing this year so far includes Viv Albertine, Steve Ignorant, Edwyn Collins, Mary Anne Hobbs, Mark Pilkington, Zoe Howe, Will Hodgkinson, Keith Cameron, Peter Bebergal, Lloyd Bradley, Simon A Morrison, Barney Hoskyns, Paul Rees, Melanie Smith, Spencer Leigh, Kevin Cummins, Manchester Met researchers, Si Denbigh, Graeme Park, Paul Du Noyer, Mark Ellen, Phil John, Steve Hanley, Mick O’Shea, Marcus O’Dair, Jim McCarthy, Rosie Wilby, Don Powell, Natasha Scharf, John Bramwell, Nicholas Blincoe, Richard Osborne, Graham Jones, Rosie Garland, Nina Antonia, Terry Chimes, Tom Attah, Daryl Easlea, Bob Dickinson, Alwyn Turner, Simon Wolstencroft, Simon Warner, Abigail Ward and Robb himself.
