With the mighty Liverpool Psych Fest mere weeks away now, the organisers have now unveiled the two-dayer’s bursting pantheon of DJs, cosmic of mind and dexterous of hand, heading to Camp And Furnace and Blade Factory from September 26-27. For starters, there’s The Brian Jonestown Massacre’s very own tambourine man Joel Gion, above, gearing up to release his own solo record Apple Bonkers; Andy Votel, crate-digger par excellence and head honcho of the Finders Keepers label, whose set takes its own title, FINDERS KEEPERS PRESENTS BEASTS FROM THE EAST; Nothing Is…, the DJ collective taking in Cherrystones, Cage And Aviary, Little Dirty and Chris Reeder of Rocket Recordings, normally found playing their regular night at The Alibi in Dalston and here relocating to aptly bolster Rocket’s own stage and The Eccentronic Research Council, our favourite Sheffield institute, who have put together a blinding mix to prick ears and offer a taster of what’ll be on offer in Merseyside – play Raised On Microdots And Jellytots below:

Beyond that there’s a head-spinning number of vinyl masters – behold! Chimes Of Big Ben, Drowned In Sound’s Dom Gourlay, God Unknown, Sonic Cathedral, Roger Hill of the Pure Musical Sensations radio show, Bad Vibrations, Akoustik Anarkhy, Pomponette, Probe Records, Carl Combover, Dandelion Radio, Sounds Of Salvation, Pnkslm, Shindig!, Sie Norfolk, Revo, RIP Records, Karma Leeds, Jeffo 86 and the Quietus’ very own Julian Marszalek. Not only that, but San Francisco’s KFJC will be embarking on a Psych Fest first and streaming both an audio and a video feed of the festival.
