Unsound: More Names Announced

Krakow edition of Unsound Festival adds Nurse With Wound, Cyclobe, Lee Gamble, Objekt and more

With less than two months to go, Unsound Krakow have announced yet more artists for this year’s excellent ‘The Dream’ edition of the festival, which runs from October 12-19. Joining the likes of Swans, Perc and Carter Tutti Void will be Nurse With Wound, Coil associates Cyclobe – who are playing only their fifth ever gig – and Lee Gamble, who will play following the release of his cracking forthcoming LP Koch and recent EP out now on PAN.

If you fancy, in the words of tQ’s Rory Gibb, having "your eyelids pinned back, Clockwork Orange-style, and [being] forced to absorb the ever-rolling noise of a thousand Twitter feeds at once", there will also be an outing for the PC Music collective, with SOPHIE and Felicita both making appearances over the week. There’s also a strong turnout for the Polish music scene, with composer and musician Piotr Kurek, "demon techno" man Kucharczyk and the experimental hip-hop of Robert Piernikowski among others. Elsewhere, Evian Christ will debut his new live show, while Logos will go b2b with Pinch and Mumdance, who will also be doing a solo show alongside grime MC Novelist off the back of this year’s excellent ‘It Takes Time’.

For those without tickets, Call Super and Objekt will be playing a bracing five-hour set as Everything Is True, named after their residency at Chesters nightclub in Berlin, and will one of the many free events to be held across the festival. Stay tuned for a day programme of free shows, installations and panels yet to be announced. Weekend tickets are currently sold out, but individual passes are still available.
