Earthling Society, the decade-old Lancashire space rock crew, are releasing their new album, England Have My Bones, via Riot Season next Monday, August 25. Their "masterwork" according to the label, the album comes out of the band’s own studio in Fleetwood, and features a reworking of Alice Coltrane’s ‘Journey in Satchidananda’ at its heart.
The label have kindly given us a taste of what’s to come in the shape of ‘Tortuga’. The track, says tQ’s reviewer Danny Riley, "opens with gentle phased guitar and an immersive synth wash that seems to inhabit the sonic boundary between kosmische and New Age music, whilst ending with a creepy synth preset/fairground ride loop that puts an unsettling finish on the piece". Have a listen above, and pre-order on limited edition, translucent green vinyl, limited edition cassette or download via Riot Season’s website.
