Kosmische-inspired electronics man Robin Edwards, aka R.Seiliog, is currently readying his debut album, In Hz, for release later this year on Turnstile. It’ll follow up his Doppler mini-album, out on the label last year, and his debut EP, Shuffles. He’s previously unveiled ‘Peripheral Thermal (Left)’ from the EP (listen below), and now we’ve got a first play of, well, the other side of things, ‘Peripheral Thermal (Right)’:
The track’s a surging nexus of skittering rhythms, interlocked with the mechanical synchronicity of a clock – fitting enough, given that Edwards grew up in a Cardiff watchmaker’s shop. Crushed in between are snatches of melodic glitches and a swell of synth that almost threatens to overwhelm and break out but gets held firmly in check by those cycling drums. Stay tuned to Seiliog’s website for updates on the album and live shows.
