The mighty Hawkwind and Electric Wizard are set to headline Portugal’s eminent stoner fest Reverence Valada on September 12-13. The festival, located in small idyll of Valada, 60 km inland from Lisbon, worships at the alter of everything heavy and psychedelic, and will count among its congregation Red Fang, Psychic TV, Moon Duo, The Oscillation, White Hills, Ringo Deathstarr, Mugstar, Woods and many more cult delights.
The festival’s venue is the toker-friendly setting of Parque de Merendas, which runs along the banks of the Tejo river and includes a fluvial beach, picnic areas and coffee shops. For those experiencing a chronic case of the munchies, traditional Portuguese food and drinks including vegan and vegetarian will be available.
