Echo & The Bunnymen are back with new material, and it’s sounding – on the evidence of the track streaming above – rather good. ‘Lovers On The Run’ is a bit of classic Bunnymen pop, reminiscent of ‘The Killing Moon’, and features original guitarist Will Sergeant and production work by Youth. The track is released on May 26th, and will feature on the next Bunnymen studio album, Meteorites, out on the same day. Says Ian McCulloch of the new material, "For me, this is a whole new approach. It’s more edgy than anything I’ve ever done. I’m dealing with something on this record I didn’t want to deal with for a long time.”
