LISTEN: Friendly Fires & The Asphodells

Friendly Fires have got together with Andrew Weatherall and Timothy J Fairplay (together, The Asphodells) for a couple of long-form collaborative tracks, set for release as a AA-side 12" later this month. Started last year, the tracks, ‘Before Your Eyes’ and ‘Velo’ were recorded in both Weatherall’s and Friendly Fires vocalist Ed Macfarlane’s studios (and given some extra sheen from Conny Plank’s old mixing desk, no less), and will be out via FF’s Telophase label on March 31.
