Phil Spector has been found guilty of the murder of actress Lana Clarkson at his retrial in Los Angeles.
The conviction came at the end of the record producer’s second trial for the crime. His first trial, in 2007, ended with no verdict after the jury were deadlocked at 10 to two in favour of a conviction.
Spector will be sentenced on May 29th, and the 69-year-old faces a gaol sentence that could see him dying behind bars. However, his lawyer Doron Weinberg announced that the defencec would be appealing, telling that press that "I don’t think justice was done today".
He added that in his opinion the jurors had been faced with "improper and prejudicial evidence".
