Next Monday, March 10, Charlotte Church releases the next instalment in her EP series, and we’ve got an exclusive first play of FOUR closer ‘Love’. Building on THREE, the EP again finds her melding genres at will, this time drawing more heavily on electro, with Church saying of the record: "FOUR is a party. It’s like futuristic driving music – I call it cruise-wave." ‘Love’ nigh on encases this eclecticism in one, wending from THREE‘s choral vocals and straight-ahead headbangers through tropicalia-tinged house to a gloriously ornate orchestral coda, making for a brilliant sonic whole.
Church is playing a launch show at London’s Riverside Studios tonight and at Unit 31 on Portmanmoor Industrial Estate in Cardiff on Friday, March 7 – head to her website to get hold of tickets and to pre-order the record and read Church’s Baker’s Dozen here.
