Experimental techno label Violet Poison are releasing a four-track compilation of new artists in the genre later this month. Titled Sulla Giostra Nell’Ombra, it’s out on January 23 on vinyl only (as with all VP releases) and features cuts from O/H, Ontal, CSA and Sunil Sharpe. We’ve got the Ed Devane-directed video for the contribution from the latter, the Irish producer who’s previously released on Blawan’s Works The Long Nights label. Both track and video are as pulverisingly dehumanising as you’d expect from the title, scaling up from juddering opening kick drums to a full-scale tectonic assault, through which Sharpe mangles some synth lines (all for good measure) – watch above, and listen to the compilation sampler below:
