Following his Parapsychology EP in the latter half of last year, Acquaintance, aka Chris Griffin of Brighton’s Anti-Ghost Moon Ray label/collective (all of whose artists, also including Gazelle Twin, Bernholz and Great Pagans, have LPs due this year), has announced his debut album, Satellite Stream. It’s out on March 10, and gets a teaser today in the form of opener, ‘Making Eye Contact’. The cut’s heart is the same sinewy, sheeny synth-pop as found on Parapsychology, which gets interpolated by rhythmic cascades and chiming, bell-like tones, all of which are stripped back and shifted down to half-time for Griffin’s submerged intonations of the song’s title – have a listen below and stay posted to Anti-Ghost Moon Ray’s website:
