Wild Beasts Announce New Album

Present Tense out next month; watch video for Wanderlust below

What fine news to adorn the new year: Wild Beasts have just announced that they’ll be releasing their fourth album, Present Tense, on February 24 via Domino. It’s the follow-up to their 2011 album Smother and the end-result of a year off the live circuit, working with producers Lexxx and Leo Abrahams. Says the text accompanying the announcement: "Present Tense is a dramatically new album – taking cues from the most intense and effervescent of 1980s and 1990s electronic sound but rethinking and retooling these elements with exquisite detail for the 21st century."

They’ve trailed it with the video for the first single, ‘Wanderlust’ (it’s an instant free download if you pre-order the album; do that here), which is released the same day as the album as a four-track digital bundle, along with non-album track ‘Byzantine’ and remixes by Factory Floor and The Field, with the latter also featuring on the deluxe LP format of the album. They’ll also be embarking on a run of live dates in March, taking in the US, Europe and six shows in the UK and Ireland. Have a watch of the NYSU-directed video for ‘Wanderlust’ below and head to their website for tour details:
