On February 17, Drag City will be releasing Voices In A Rented Room, the debut album by New Bums. It’s the collaborative project of Comets On Fire/Six Organs Of Admittance man Ben Chasny and Donovan Quinn of San Franciscan psych folk group Skygreen Leopards. They’ll be playing a short tour of the US starting March – head to the label’s website for details – in support of the album, and are trailing it with opening track ‘Black Bough’, a gently stomping acoustic cut centred around Chasny and Quinn’s rough-hewn harmonies and some subtly impressive guitar chops – have a listen below:
