Yikes, it’s a Fat White Family news bonanza. First off is the announcement that they’re releasing the final single from their Champagne Holocaust album – ‘Heaven On Earth’ will be out through Trashmouth Records on November 18 and comes backed with a mix of previous single ‘Autoneutron’ by London psychedelic troupe The Oscillation. That’s the cover above, which we believe is a holiday snap from their recent jaunt around Europe and, as tQ editor John Doran points out, possibly a discarded cover shot for Health & Efficiency magazine. Listen to ‘Heaven On Earth’ below:
The single’s followed a week later, on November 25, by the CD release of Champagne Holocaust, by which time the band will be well into their NME Radar tour, part of a stack of dates they’ll be playing over the next two months – have a look at below – which culminates in their first headline set, at London’s 100 Club, on December 10. This will see them bringing along a host of other bands for a relocated version of their Brixton ‘Slide In’ night, including Ben Waller performing as The Rebel, The Nuns, Quietus DJs and cave-punk band, Taman Shud, with whom the Fat Whites will be releasing a split EP. It’ll be available on vinyl then and released digitally on Christmas Day, consequently featuring three festively-titled new tracks, ‘Wet Hot Beef’, parts one and two, and ‘Now That I Am Taking Myself As An Artist’.
Head here for NME tour tickets and to Trashmouth’s Facebook to get hold of the music.
