Pinkunoizu have fast emerged as one of the Quietus’ favourite bands of 2013, which was consolidated, and then some, by their excellent album The Drop, released earlier this year.
They’re currently on tour with English folktronica band Tunng and will be beginning the UK leg of dates next week – have a look at those at the bottom of the page. They’ve also done a track swap, with Tunng remixing Pinkunoizu’s ‘The Great Pacific Garbage Patch’ in exchange for a rework of ‘Embers’ – listen below and get hold of it here:
We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away, as well as copies of The Drop and Tunng’s latest LP Turbines, to one reader. Just send your answer to the following question to comps@thequietus.com, with ‘PINK’ in the subject line.
Q: Which 90s megahit have Pinkunoizu previously recorded a cover of?
A. ‘I’ll Be Missing You’
B. ‘Believe’
C. ‘What Is Love?’
D. ‘Ooh Aah… Just A Little Bit’
