Norwegian metal-pop trio Deathcrush are following up on their debut single – a flexi disc released on the cover of their very own magazine, no less; have a look here – with a new four-track 12", ‘Skool’s In’. It’s out on October 7 through Norway Rat/Believe Distribution, and features three new tracks, as well as a remix by fellow Norwegian, London-based producer James Njie. Ahead of the release, we’ve got a first play of new track ‘Lesson #4 for Wharton Tiers / Strauss’ – have a listen and get hold of it below:
Grinding, gurning noise collides straight from the off, relentlessly surging forward with all the potency of a heatseeker missile, easing off only momentarily to let the vocals seep in, before that filthy serration of a guitar line rears up again. (Listen right to the very final second – the whole thing hurtles towards an end that can only be described as cheeky.)
