Patrick Wolf To Play Royal Albert Hall

Announcement made from Heaven stage

Patrick Wolf last night played a stunning gig at London’s Heaven nightclub, and got so carried away that he revealed he’d soon be playing a concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Last night’s show was intended to showcase material from Wolf’s new record Battle, which is in part financed by the Bandstocks programme. Clearly not shirking from fancy production values, Wolf emerged dressed in leather trousers and a cape with a four-foot shoulder pad wingspan, which he removed to reveal some fetching leather strapping.

During the gig, Wolf excitedly announced that he’d be playing a far larger concert later in the year, and told us to "think of the proms", which gives the game away somewhat.
