Experimental Cardiff crew have announced that they’ll be following up last year’s debut LP Illuminated People with a new album, Released By The Movement, set for release on October 7 via Shape Records, the label run by the band’s own Mark Daman Thomas.
The group enlisted Stephen Black, aka Sweet Baboo, to help with the recording and mixing, all of which was done in their hometown. They’ve already given us a preview of the record with new cut, ‘Tripping Through The Blue Room (Part II)’, inspired by psych luminary Michael Yonkers, of whom the band’s Emma Daman Thomas says: "His song ‘Tripping Through The Rose Gardens’ has been an influence on us since the beginnings of Islet, and as we jammed one night in a blue room we realised the sounds we were making gave us that same sense of weightlessness."
