British Sea Power stopped by the radio programme The Selector last week to record a three-track live session, playing ‘Machineries Of Joy’, ‘A Light Above Descending’ and ‘Loving Animals’.
As well as the radio show – which you can listen to below – they filmed a short interview and the performance of ‘Loving Animals’ for the accompanying Amped… with The Crypt Sessions and The Selector video series.
In the interview the band talk about their approach to the songwriting process, stating that this album is less about "dramatic stories" and instead about tales of "everyday life" thought of whilst walking around Brighton. They also talk about the nature of their eclectic and committed fan base, their desire to play the International Space Station and back-up plan to open a corner shop if the music goes downhill – have a watch of both the interview and song above.
