John Grant For Numusic Festival

Former Czars man joins bill for ace Norwegian festival; UPDATE: Dean Blunt and other new names added

John Grant has been announced for the line-up of this year’s Numusic Festival, taking place in Stavanger, Norway from September 5-7.

UPDATE – July 9: Dean Blunt, whose recent album The Redeemer has been an undoubted highlight of the year so far, TM404, Andre Bratten, Thomas Urv and Eon Hood have all been added to the line-up.

Grant will no doubt be playing material from his excellent Pale Green Ghosts album, released earlier this year. Reviewing the record for the Quietus, Barnaby Smith wrote: "His second [album] is branching out into the more experimental, atmospheric and even psychedelic – it’s a more challenging task but one that perhaps ultimately yields richer rewards."

He joins the previously-announced The Orb and Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry, Sandra Kolstad and Hypertext on the bill; for full details and tickets, head to the Numusic website here.
