This summer, Oxbow’s Eugene S. Robinson (also one of the Quietus’ favourite authors) and Stray Ghost’s Anthony Saggers release their first album as Stranger By Starlight.
Chalk White Nights (artwork above), out via Bad Paintings, is a five-track meditation on film noir and detective novels, following aptly from Robinson’s recent piece of crime fiction A Long Slow Screw, with the duo calling it: "a product of insoluble emotional difficulty and fragile beauty [that] languished until the discerning gents at Bad Paintings actually realised that dharma gates are endless and they too found some sort of sympathetic resonance to what we made and what it sounded like and what it actually was."
