"Rock-based music band" The Darkness have announced that they’ll be hitting the road for a 23-date UK tour later this year.
It’s ten years since their debut Permission To Land was released, and as such, they’ll be celebrating its anniversary by playing the album in its entirety, as well as tracks from their two subsequent LPs.
They’ve dubbed the tour the ‘Outreach Programme’, bringing their bombast to more intimate and far-flung venues than they’ve played recently.
Interestingly, there’s also the promise of a new release ahead of the tour’s start in November, with the announcement stating: "a large collection of demos has been amassed thus far, so there’s certainly no shortage of raw material to choose from".
Have a look at the dates below, then have a read of our interview with bassist Frankie Poullain from last year, ahead of their last album Hot Cakes‘ release, and Justin Hawkins’ Baker’s Dozen, with their ace version of Radiohead’s ‘Street Spirit’ thrown in for good measure.
