Band release video for recent album's title track ahead of mammoth UK tour

Ascendant Tampa, Florida crew Merchandise, now a four-piece, released their Totale Nite album earlier this year, and before they set out on a country-sweeping tour of the UK (and a quick stop-off in Ireland), we’ve got a first look at the video for the LP’s title track – have a watch below:

As befits the band’s ever-evolving sonics, the cut shifts from cocksure, noise-ridden post-punk into wide-eyed Echo & The Bunnymen-esque guitar-pop, albeit buried beneath hefty slabs of William Reid-style amp-manglery. The whole thing finds a euphoric, brilliantly triumphant sweet spot around the five minute mark, where, seemingly within the swirl of a jet engine, frontman Carson Cox reaches a lyrical breaking point, relenting, "anything you want…". From thereon, it cascades into an ace sax coda, which reminds us of something, though we just can’t put our finger on what…
