Leeds’ Hookworms are set to release a new 7", ‘Radio Tokyo’, following up on the debut LP, Pearl Mystic they released in March, and we’ve got an exclusive first spin of the video for B-side ‘On Returning’ – have a watch above.
The cut is a colossal, stampeding piece of space rock, a teeming collision of tremulous guitar lines and triumphant drumming, which charges into an all-out echo assault, with only a brief organ-laced pause for respite. The visual foil to this is Hookworms’ own take on the "hey, look at me dancing at these various UNESCO World Heritage sites" videos that have procreated across YouTube; rather than some cargo shorts-wearing berk jiving on the Pantheon though, here we have some excellent folding of arms and chewing of gum.
