WIN: Øya Festival Tickets, Flights & Hotel

Yup, you heard us, the full package. Bit bleedin' generous, eh?

Now into its 14th year, Norway’s Øya Festival has a mightily impressive line-up set for this year’s event, taking place in Oslo’s Middelalderparken from August 6-10.

We’ve previously heard that Kraftwerk, The Knife, Blur, Goat, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, John Talabot, Slayer, Supersilent and John Paul Jones, Angel Haze and Tame Impala were on the bill, but today they’ve announced that they’ll be joined by Laura Mvula, Steve Mason, Grimes, Cat Power and the mighty Shining, alongside Ben Zabo, Phosphorescent, Mikhael Paskalev, Deathcrush, Dråpe, Lemaitre and Dreamon.

UPDATE – May 30: Wu-Tang Clan, Kendrick Lamar, Merchandise, Lady, Konono No1, Andre Bratten, Alfred Hall, Hvitmalt Gjerde, The Staves and Michael Cronin have all been added to the bill.

Further to this, space-disco producer supremo Lindstrøm has announced an audio-culinary collaboration with the Oslo restaurant Maaemo. It’s based around his food-themed album from last year, Smalhans, and will have the chefs whipping up a menu based on the tracks (using locally-sourced produce; we’ve seen reference to sea-buckthorn berries) – for example, you can enjoy dried salted lamb meat while listening to ‘Lamm-el-aar’. Pretty good, eh?

Yes it is. But what’s even better is the fact that those good folk organising the festival have given us a pair of tickets AND flights to Oslo AND accommodation in a hotel to give away to one lucky reader. So long as we don’t decide to, ahem, ‘win’ this prize ourselves, e-mail your answer to the following question to comps@thequietus.com, with OYA in the subject line, by midday Monday 13 May.
