Factory Floor & Simon Fisher Turner At ICA

Fisher Turner and FF set to collaborate on ArchLive in March

Two Quietus favourites, Simon Fisher Turner and Factory Floor, have announced that they will be collaborating for an event at the Institute of Contemporary Arts on March 14.

ArchLive will be the third performance of Factory Floor’s year-long residency at the ICA, and will feature Fisher Turner doing some extensive sound manipulation, both of material from the band’s upcoming album as well as his own work. To get hold of tickets, head here.

Fisher Turner has also been at work on soundtracks for two films. The first was ‘Time’, a short film by Shiro Takatani, which forms part of Ryuichi Sakamoto and Tomoyasu Hirano’s Kizuna project to raise funds for the reconstruction of the areas of Japan hit by the tsunami and

earthquake of 2011 – watch below, and head here for more information:

The second is The Epic Of Everest, the 1924 official film of Mallory and Irvine’s ascent of Mount Everest, for which Fisher Turner is working on the soundtrack, set for release on Mute.
