Matthew Herbert has announced that he will be releasing an "iTunes box set" featuring everything he recorded under his house music moniker Herbert.
The digital-only release will be put out by his own Accidental Records label on March 4, and contains five discs’ worth of material, totalling 130 tracks.
Particularly intriguing is the first album in the set, ‘Early Herbert’, which collects tracks that were previously only released on 12" via now-defunct dance labels. The rest of the set comprises his four Herbert albums, 100lbs, Around The House, Bodily Functions and Scale, remastered by Mandy Parnell and augmented with bonus tracks, b-sides and remixes from the likes of Matmos and Jamie Liddell, as well as orchestral versions of Scale recorded at Abbey Road.
