Hessle Audio are once again set to take over Room 1 of London’s Fabric club this coming Friday, 11th November, for one of their regular all-night sessions. This, as ever, is a good thing: Hessle nights tend to be joyously unhindered by boundaries of genre, happily drawing together music and special guests from across the spectrum for an evening that nonetheless manages to feel coherent.
This time, the occasion is to celebrate the release of Hessle co-head Ben UFO’s Fabriclive CD, due for release the following week. So Ben (pictured) will be playing, alongside fellow Hessle bosses Pangaea and Pearson Sound. In addition, they’ve got some distinguished guests in tow: legendary selectors Optimo, hacked-to-shreds Berlin techno operators MMM and rising techno producer Call Super, who is set to inaugurate Fabric’s new Houndstooth label with a 12" in early 2013.
Room 3 will be taken over by Sonic Router, the electronic music site and occasional Quietus column run by Oli Marlow. Theirs features an equally impressive roster of names, two of whom – Joe and Peverelist – have also previously released on Hessle Audio, giving the whole evening a family affair kind of feel. Also in the Sonic Router room will be Cupp Cave (live), Marlow himself DJing and Tim Breach.
In advance of the night, Sonic Router have run a pair of exclusive mixes – one from Joe, which you can download here, and one from Cupp Cave, which you can download here, giving you previews of what to expect (or, in the case of Joe’s downbeat selection, quite possibly what not to expect).
Room 3 will be taken over by Manchester’s club night crew Hoya:Hoya. Theirs features a live audiovisual set from former Vex’d man Kuedo, luminous house/garage producer XXXY, Hyperdub’s Scratcha DVA, Illum Sphere, Altered Natives, Jonny Dub b2b Eclair Fifi and Jon K.
