Barcelona’s Sonar Festival have announced the first set of acts for next year’s festival, which will run from 13th-15th June 2013.
Chief among them are mighty German veterans Kraftwerk, who will be performing their 3D show which, the festival’s site says, "adapts 3D technology to their own language and gives body and volume to the powerful imagery that has accompanied them throughout their career. More essential than ever."
Equally exciting is the announcement that they’ll be joined on the bill by the Pet Shop Boys, who are renowned for their fantastic live performances. This will again be a new show, promising (somewhat vaguely at this point, it must be said) "a spectacular display of resources and talent packed full of visuals to accompany the Pet Shop Boys repertoire with cutting edge technology."
Elsewhere among the initial eight acts announced are new disco freaks Lindstrom & Todd Terje, massively prolific techno/noise deconstructionist Vatican Shadow, Bradien + Eduard Escoffet, Hot Natured, Fantastic Mr Fox and, erm, Two Door Cinema Club.
